Atom Learning is offering free 11-plus summer courses and a free 5-day trial of their personalised 11-plus learning journey.
Video tutorials and resources
ExamBuddy is free until schools and tuition centres return in September.
A number of video tutorials are available on YouTube, such as this non-verbal reasoning one – Odd One Out.
Unmarked Potential which sells downloadable maths worksheets and tests offers free worksheet samples (registration required).
LinkyThinks offers a free online maths practice course
Fraser Stevens Learning publishes free 11-plus papers with answers and resources each month (sign up is necessary).
Many of the independent schools also have free exam papers to download on their websites.
This is one for the diary. 11plusDIY ordinarily holds a free mock in November. This year the plan is for the 2020 free exam to be online.
A series of plays from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and the Royal Opera House are available for free via BBC iPlayer until the schools go back (see full length productions).
Project Gutenberg is a library of over 60,000 free e-books. You don’t even need to sign up – you simply click on the book title and either download them or read them online.
Audible which has an ever-growing selection of children’s books offers a 30-day free trial and is £7.99 a month there after which gives you one book. E-book seller Kobo didn’t have any free children’s titles at the time of looking.
If you are signed up to Amazon Prime, you can read up to 10 selected e-books, comics, and magazines at once for free.
